Full-Service Hospital
Established in 1926, Mercy Hospital has been a part of the Oelwein community for nearly 100 years. With over 100 employees, it boasts 25 beds for medical/surgical acute and skilled care. It staffs a 24/7 Emergency Department, with helipad access and a Trauma Level IV certification. MercyOne also provides a broad scope of outpatient services (infusions, lab, imaging, cardiac and pulmonary rehab, physical therapy, etc.) In addition, the on-site clinics providing Family Medicine, Behavioral Health, Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, OB/GYN, Nephrology, Urology, Cardiology, Podiatry and Senior Life Solutions (Senior Behavioral Health).
Ambulance Service
A Hospital-based Ambulance Service is authorized by the Iowa Department of Public Health Bureau of Emergency Medical Service as a 24/7 Paramedic Level Service covering the southern part of Fayette Co and northern Buchanan Co. It is also an affiliate member of the Iowa Emergency Services Association.
