The Ambassadors are known as Oelwein's business welcoming committee. This group is known for wearing red and visiting businesses for various reasons. The visits are arranged by a business or by the OCAD staff to recognize a new business, new manager or administrative staff, grand openings, retirements, business anniversaries, ribbon cuttings and other business events. The events are published in the Oelwein Daily Register with a photo and information about the business and the reason for the visit. Any business who feels they would like a visit from the Ambassadors are encouraged to contact the OCAD office to set up a date and time!
